As part of our Health & Wellness Series, we’re offering an opportunity for spiritual health: walking the stone labyrinth on the grounds of the Church of St. Andrew in Marblehead. The journey to and from the center of the labyrinth, on the clearly marked path, is a contemplative, meditative act. Labyrinths have been traced by foot by people of many cultures for centuries, and the labyrinth at St. Andrew’s is based on an ancient pattern; it was built in the 1980s with stones from local beaches.

 

Rev. Clyde Elledge will teach us about the labyrinth as a tool for meditation and centering—and even prayer. We will then have the opportunity to walk the labyrinth ourselves. OPEN TO SEAGLASS MEMBERS, VOLUNTEERS, AND GUESTS.
