We welcome guest speaker Sue Sussman, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for this Table Talk.

Sue Sussman is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Geriatric Psychiatry. She graduated from UNH with a degree in Psychology, a Bachelors in Nursing from Boston State College and a Masters in Nursing from Boston University. She holds a national certification in Psychiatric Nursing and Community Mental Health and is a licensed prescriber for medication. During her 43+ years as a Nurse she has worked with all age groups, the past 30 years with older adults. She has consulted, evaluated and treated individuals in long term care facilities, assisted living facilities with memory care units and day programs as well as inpatient psychiatric units and the Emergency department. She is a member of the Swampscott for All Ages committee helping to promote optimal mental and physical health and well being for Swampscott’s aging population. Sue will talk on mental health as we age, understanding anxiety, depression and dementia, and tips to keep healthy.
